Welcome
I am a nature and wildlife photographer based in northwest Sydney, with a passion for capturing Australia's remarkable wildlife, especially its incredible birdlife. My photography is driven by a fascination with the beauty, behaviour, and diversity of the natural world, from the smallest details to the grandest landscapes.
Originally from the rugged Cornish coast of England, I now call Sydney home. While my photographic journey began in family portraiture, it was Australia's extraordinary wildlife and diverse ecosystems that inspired me to pursue nature photography. Whether photographing birds in remote wilderness or local urban bushland, I strive to create images that inspire curiosity, appreciation, and a deeper connection with the natural world.
Conservation is at the heart of my work. Alongside photography, I play an active role in bush regeneration, helping restore and protect some of Sydney's precious forests and ecosystems. Spending time restoring habitat has deepened my understanding of the relationships between wildlife and the environments they depend on, enriching both my photography and my appreciation of nature.
I also enjoy sharing my passion with others through community photography workshops, encouraging people to slow down, observe, and discover the beauty of the natural world that surrounds them. My hope is that every photograph not only captures a moment but also inspires a greater appreciation for Australia's unique wildlife and the importance of conserving it for future generations.
For me, photography is about more than creating beautiful images, it's about understanding the lives of the animals I photograph and telling their stories in a way that encourages others to value and protect them.
